We all have our feelings about the Kardashian C(K)lan.

Honestly, you either love them or hate them. I am on the love side. They just have such great style and hardcore family values that I wish my family had. Whenever I watched Keeping up with the Kardashians I would start crying when they would do something selfless for one another. I just wanted that so badly. It really made me change the way I treated my family.

ANYHOO, back to the subject at hand here. There are a lot of people who are not fans of them. Mostly hate that they really don’t have a censor, or that they really are proud of their bodies and don’t care if they show them. Which is what I am sure inspired these memes. Ya know, the ones that say, “In a world of Kardashians, be a…(insert person here).” Exhibit A:

I’m going to tell you why this is a horrible meme in disguise. Not taking anything away from the ate Princess Diana. She was a remarkable women with great beauty. However, The underlying message in this meme is that there is a much better person in the world to be other than yourself. This is the complete opposite of helpful. We want to encourage women to be their best selves. to strive to be the best version of who they are. Not someone else.

You could say they had good intentions.

Maybe they did. Maybe they were talking about who to look up to. Who to see as a role model. Which is fine to a degree. We still have this notion of tearing women down to lift others up. Which isn’t okay. Never is it okay to insult another woman about who they are just to try to make another feel better. It is counterproductive. We should strive to lift every single woman up for all of her uniqueness and beauty. Every one of us are beautiful humans that deserve to feel good about who we are and what we look like.

So instead, lets stop the unnecessary bashing of other women just because we don’t like the way they live their life. You aren’t helping anyone. Lets just all agree, that the only thing we should be doing, is encouraging all women to be exactly who they are. Beautiful Sunflowers.
