Fuck Society’s Standards

Wow. This is so deep and I can truly relate with a lot of what you write. I love your honesty.

    • Thank you! I wanted to try a really blunt and honest approach to keep it authentic. This is what I went through all my life and its made me who I am as a result. Thank you for reading (:

  2. I agree with you that it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about your body or what it ought to look like. Ultimately, we should be proud of who we are regardless of what is on the outside. In this age, thin is often glorified as what is considered “beautiful.” When we are confident with whatever shape our body happens to be, that confidence is the type of beauty no one can take away.

    Great post! 🙂

  3. Jenna says:

This is honestly so important, I think everyone struggles with this. and it’s important for people to just love their own bodies they way they want them to be. 🙂

  4. Victoria says:

Love this. I remember when I was 11 years old in the store with my sister and her boyfriend. He yelled out “ugghh” and pointed to a woman wearing shorts with hairy legs and continued to say that’s nasty.

I remember when I got home, looking at my legs and trying to cut my little leg and arm hairs with scissors.

    Now that I’m married… f*ck shaving…in the winter… :-/

Its really sad of the past thoughts & bullying you went through! But I’m glad that you are trying to be confident carrying your body your way!
